Learning from Home

Where to Start

Set up a space in your home where your student can practice fine motor activities such as writing, cutting or playing with play dough.

Gather supplies such has crayons, markers, pencils, paper, glue sticks and kid friendly scissors.

Create a daily routine and schedule. Your schedule could include table top time, free choice play, story time, large motor play outside and snack time.

Activities you can do at home

We've created activity challenge lists that you can do with your preschooler at home. Activities range from making play dough to identifying and counting shapes throughout your home. Download and print your copy below. There is 3's class version and a PreK/TK class version.

Play Dough Recipe

Bring to a Boil:

3 Cups  Water

1/3 Cup Oil

3-4 teaspoons food coloring

In a Separate Bowl Mix:

3 Cups Flour

1 1/2 Cups Salt

1/4 Cup Cream of Tarter

Slowly add the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients. Mix together thoroughly with a spoon. When mixture has slightly cooled but dough is still warm, knead well with hands for about 5 minutes. Store in an airtight container.
